Does Synarel Sniffing give you Tonsilitus or is it a big fat coincidence

    Hi Everyone
I'd just like to ask the above?
Since Thurs, my left side tonsil has become inflamed and is bigger than a golf ball with pus - ewww! It so painful. It started to hurt after I sniffed in that nostril. So yesterday at work I felt so, so bad - really lethargic and mega mega painful cramps in my belly (which in itself is weird, I don't usually get PMS symptoms - yes period should be due too).

I haven't had any strange symptoms since beginning my synarel, so this has knocked me back a bit. I got home and went straight to bed for several hours. Even now I'm up and I still feel like I have no energy.

Now it could be coincidence as many of the children I work with have been sniffing with colds etc plus the long work hours. But if I do have tonsilitus or phryngitus - what antibiotics can I take?

Any advice would be gratefully accepted.

p.s have an emergency appointment at the Drs this morning.

    Hi Sonia

I haven't heard of synarel causing tonsalitis but it makes sense because where does the syneral run? Down the back of your throat of course.

Does Synarel Sniffing give you Tonsilitus or is it a big fat coincidence

    Hi Ladies

Thanks so much for your replies.

Well I went and saw my Dr and she seems to think its coincidence. She was shocked at how bad my tonsils were, pus covered (sorry so gross) but how big the lymph nodes were e.g the golf ball. She also explained that lymph nodes run into the belly area and that could explain my cramping. I personally think it didn't help having that stuff run and drip on an already sick tonsil although I didn't know it at the time.

So now I'm on 2 weeks worth of antibiotics. I've phoned the clinic today and will see the nurses tomorrow, (Tuesday).

Funnily enough my period started Sunday night - great I thought. But today, there's hardly anything going on..which scares the hell out of me cos I usually bleed for 5 days. Hope the nurses can answer that one.

So hopefully onto the next little stage.

    Hi Sonia

That tosil (sp?) sounds really sore. And it affects your belly too. Well you learn something new every day lol. I was on antibiotics 2 days before EPU for a UTI and I paniced about it lol.

Good luck with your nurse appointment.
