    Smooth shiny hair, how?

So I have blonde hair that I'd love to wear down, but I don't because it's always so dry, puffy and frizzy. I've tried an anti friz serum but that doesn't seem to do much apart from make it oily.
I just want smooth and shiny hair that I can style and let down instead of up in a pony tail.

    I'm guessing I'll need a straightener?

For shiny hair a little bit of vinegar in water when you rinse.

A good cut to get rid of dry/split ends.
A good diet with lots of protein.
    Condition it well.
    Use serum sparingly.

Yes, you will definitely need a straightener! And a good one. Is your hair thick? if so a wide plate straightener is better than a thin one.

    Thanks!
I'm guessing I'd need a good shampoo and conditioner? ATM I'm using herbal essences, but I have no idea what to look for in a shampoo etc. I just have no idea about hair in general.
I'm due for a cut. My hair isn't thick, but it isn't thin either.

I only wash my hair every second day. I do a treatment once a week and rinse my hair with a shot of cold water just before I get out of the shower. I also use a heat serum prior to straightening my hair and try not to use much hair spray

I'm a big believer in regular trips to the hairdresser (I go every 5-6 weeks for a colour, cut/trim and style) and decent products.

I have Cloud 9 straighteners, I use Sebastian Professional shampoo & conditioner and Moroccan Oil. I also only wash my hair twice a week. My hairdresser actually showed off my hair to the rest of his team just the other week because it's so healthy and shiny!
