How long did it take for your period to return?

I gave birth 16 weeks ago, and breast fed for 3 weeks post partum. Still no sign of getting my period back at all! I've expected that my cycles would have started back already? How long did it take for others?

I'm 6 weeks past the birth of DD2 and woke up today to my period. I'm breastfeeding both daughters!! I guess it isn't such an exact system.

Glad to read that actually as I was a bit freaked out that it returned 6 weeks after my 2nd but 6 months after my 1st!

I'm still breastfeeding DD, and doing baby led weaning so she still breastfeeds a lot. At 8 and a bit months, still no AF here.

First baby it was 14 months when he went from BFing about 7 times in 24 hours to 4.
Second baby is 14 months old and I'm still waiting. He BFs about 5 times in 24 hours.

Thanks ladies! Looks like it ranges so much woman to woman, pregnancy to pregnancy. I'll keep waiting. Tbh I almost kinda miss my period, haven't had one in a whole year now! Wow never thought I'd be saying I miss it
