    IF I.....
Wrote a book about caring for a baby it would be titled: "Stop watching the clock and watch your baby"!

A few new mums I know are soooo worried about the time their LOs fed/slept/played that they aren't responding to what their baby actually wants/needs! drives me nutso but you can't say anything iykwim.

What would you write about and title it?

MIne would be called 'Just pick them up!' subtitle 'There is no such thing as a bad habit for a baby' or my sleep 'expert' book which will be called 'Daytime napping for babies is not an essential lifeskill' subtitle 'No job interviewer is ever going to ask you child how they slept as a baby!'

Mine would be called "Caring for Your Baby Your Way" and then all the pages would be blank. I think people put too much stock in books and 'experts' to tell them what to do, when they should just listen to themselves.

I don't know that I'd write a parenting book, more likely to write one titled "101 Ways to Put off Doing Housework"

    I'm such a procrastinator sometimes.

Mine would be 'You know where you can stick that so called rod......' I would just have a book on the most rediculous things we have been told by friends, family and strangers.

I can help you write it CK

I'd title my parenting book "Sleep when they sleep, what ever time of day". I truly think this is the most intelligent advice ever!!

However not quite sure how I'll manage it with the next one, I am ensuring that DS is not about to drop his daytime nap anytime soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My parenting book will be called "Parenting your child - how to read the instruction book that came with the child, by a mother."

I may also choose to write "Life Cull: The thickness of blood" about how to distance yourself from rotten relatives. Then try to take my own advice.

    More ideas for the book!

A chapter heading or opening- 'Your baby doesn't even know it is pooing so how can it have the complexity of thought to manipulate you?

A slogan - Babies don't have wants only needs!

When are we writing this?? LOL!

I think my book would be similar. One of my chapters would be titled, 'well, what does your instinct tell you?'. I seem to be forever asking people this, I think a lot of heart ache could be avoided if we valued our own instincts and intuitions as parents more and placed less value of what other people who have never met the child think.
And another chapter would be 'there is no always' because no matter what people say, their child did not always sleep through/eat well/self settle/etc etc etc. They may have done it most of the time, but then there was the time they were sick/teething/missing mummy or daddy/just having a bad day/overtired/etc etc etc. so there is nothing wrong if your child is having one of those days or weeks.
