It's probably been posted before but I'm lazy and can't be bothered looking
So. Tattoo while breastfeeding. Yay or nay?
I'm seriously hankering. I don't think I can resist the itch much longer!
I keep wondering/googling this too, and getting a million different answers. Mostly yeses, which is good. For me the problem would be that since I feed on cue, I'm not sure I'll have time to sit for a tattoo unless I want to risk getting tattooed during a feed
I wouldn't take eyeball in with me. She'd be at home with some EBM with nan. I don't want anything that'd make me jumpy for obvious reasons ><; the shop I usually go to also has a no kid policy probably for the same reasons.
I recently got one and am in the process of organising my next (which is 2 big pieces). The guy who does mine uses new needles each time (he doesn't believe that sterilisers should be used, as they can fail), each needle is disposed of immediately after use as is the tube and grip, he uses the highest quality Nitrile gloves opposed to standard Latex gloves and medical underpads are also used to protect you from surfaces on which you may be resting the tattoo area. As well as medical grade soaps.
So, as long as you go to somewhere mega clean like I go, you won't get an infection at the shop. You'll get an infection by not keeping it clean or by picking it.
I've my one for Spock planned for ages, the fact I'm bf (and money) has been whats stopped me. but am going to get it done in the next few months =)
and 100% agree with Charlotte
