After the birth of my daughter I experienced the normal hair loss and as my hair is quite long, I felt it thin but it was no big deal. I didn't really notice that my hair had fallen out quite a bit around my hair line until the hair there started growing back and I ended up with really short whispy bits just above my temples. Sucky but tolerable.
After the birth of my son, my hair also started shedding. I paid attention this time and saw that I was really receding around my hair line so tried not to wear my hair pulled back too much so it wasn't as noticable. Now my hair seems to have stopped shedding around my hairline and it's growing back. Here's the OMG part. Right at the top of my hairline in the middle; so smack bang in the middle of my eyebrows there is a 4mm long hair growth that is about 1 cm wide. It looks like I have cut myself a tiny tiny little fringe. I have dead straight same length long hair all around, it's impossible to disguise! I have tried slicking it down but it sticks back up. I've put hair over it and pinned that hair with a bobby pin but it just pokes out underneath.....it's awful. This is on top of the whispys I've got elsewhere on my hairline.
Does anyone have any solutions? The only thing I can think of is to get to a hairdresser asap and get a fringe cut. I'm fairly unkeen to do that though because of the whole fringe maintenance thing but it would be a better look.
I used a bandana style hairband to hide the whispy bits when this happened to me. I don't suit a fringe so this wasn't an option but if it would suit you I would think that could be a better solution.
I am going through the same hideous thing. Fringe helped for a while, but for now I'm just going with headbands. I bought a thousand off ebay and decorated them with fabric flowers. I feel for you!
i have thick material ones and this awesome one that is 2 thin silver metal bands, one sits close to the hair line so keeps those little buggers down flat
Another one here with regrowth issues My first ruined my hair! I lost stacks of hair and while it is growing back, my hairline is incredibly wonky. I did have awful regrowth that stuck out from the top which is not as bad now but it still sticks out on my left hand side. I wear headbands, the big fabric kind mostly at least you know you're not alone!
I tend to go for the wide fabric hairbands, you can start them from your hairline and they end about the crown so cover the majority of the stubbly regrowth. I actually wanted to just shave my head but my kids have begged me not to so have ordered a bunch more hairbands and bandanas off ebay.
