After CS, when did you resume house work?

    Hi All,

Was wondering when did you resume doing your house work... Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, changing bed sheets, washing etc

We're you cooking dinners straight away?

I'm 2weeks post unplanned CS, with the complication of infection & open wound I'm still having treated. I'm no where near ready to do housework just curious as to when others were??

Maybe when DD was 1, LOL. I was so overwhelmed with my first baby I don't think I did much for a long long time, poor DH, haha.

3 years Seriously though, I think I started doing light things like wading dishes and putting on washing after 3-4 weeks as dp was home to help out. I started doing heavier stuff like lifting and vacuuming after the 6 week check.

I hung washing on clothes horse walking a few steps from washing machine to clothes horse with individual items NOT a basket on day 6, as I came home from hospital and put washing on before DH even noticed what I was doing.
I did not do dishes, cooking, making bed etc for 3 weeks and Didn't vaccum till after 6 week check.

I did really light work at about 2 weeks and by 4 weeks doing everything slowly. It's only this week (9 weeks) that I finally feel full of energy.

About a week. I couldn't bend, lift or walk outside (basically in a wheelchair) for the last 6 months of pregnancy so was keen to get stuck in.

I'm a week out today and doing everything as per normal with no pain or problems.

I was the same after my emergency c/s which I thought was normal but according to our midwives, I recover really quickly.
