    Am I the only one...

...who refuses to buy packets of undies (5 pack from Target for example) if they have been opened and obviously messed up? Pulled out, touched, put back in?

Someone else must be the same - or am I the only weirdo???

I always look for a closed pack, i know they say people have to wear underwear when trying on bathers and other underwear but i always worry someone has tried them on and NOT followed the rules

It depends. If they look like they have just been pulled out to check the size and not actually look like they have been tried on, then I'll buy them. If there are no other packs left in that size. I know I will open a pack, get one out and unfold it to check the size and then put it back and grab another size pack if they aren't right.

Gross. Nope. Underwear is something that needs to be in tact. Mind you, I wash new underwear twice before wearing.

    I'm the same too!

Not just with underwear either - if I buy anything that comes enclosed then I'll chose one that hasn't been opened. Not really for any other reason but that it looks nicer lol

I'm one of those too. I also hot water wash my undies before I wear them the first time, sometimes twice if they still feel ikky when they're dry after the first wash.

yep, I dont buy stuff that has been opened, I always go for a unopened pack, if there isn't one I then stand there for ages contemplating if I still want it enough to buy the packet that has been opened.

I bought some undies from target a little while ago when the lady at the counter said to me: "Take them home, try them on, and if you aren't happy, bring them back. Just try to remember to leave the hygiene strip in!"

    TRY?? EWWWWW

Anyway, so glad I'm not the only one who's funny about packs. I just can't do it, esp with undies!!

I tend to look for the unopened pack, but if its marked down and they just look "looked at", then I might grab them. My main concern with the opened pack is not that they have been worn, but that the sizes have been messed with.

Totally different item, but we bought 2 woollen underlays, same brand. Got them home, one was lovely and the other was cheap. Someone had done a swap in store, so that is always on my mind when buying something in a package.

I hope you took it back and got what you paid for Astrid! I can't believe someone would be so audacious as to swap an underlay like that.

Yes I did! So glad I had bought two at once, so it made it really obvious, if I had bought only one, I may have missed it first off. What go me, was how well the person swapped them across, normally those things never go back in the same way.

Nope i don't buy an opened pack.

I used to work at Target and very often girls in the ladieswear would find old bras hung up on shelves. Some women would do swapsies in the changerooms and put their filthy used stained, ripped, worn out bras on the shelves. And this will be very TMI gross but one girl even found soiled undies
