mid cycle spotting? Not pregnant, not ovulation.

I have PCOS and very irregular cycles. I am CD35 today and have just had 3 days of brown spotting over Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I didn't ovulate because I have been tracking it and it has not happened yet. No pms or sore bb's either. The spotting just came and went. Now I have a very watery cm.

I am definitely not Pregnant, so what could it be? I thought I read somewhere that mid cycle bleeding/spotting is a sign of something bad.
    Any ideas?

    TIA

I have never heard that mid cycle spotting is bad. Given that it is brown, not red I wouldn't have cause for concern.

I've taken a look through my taking charge of your fertility book & this is what it says:

'Secondary signs as ovulation approaches may include:
    - midcycle spotting......

This is b/c it is thought to be the result of a sudden drop in estrogen just before ovulation. Because progesterone has not yet been released to sustain it, the lining may leak a small amount of blood until progesterone takes over...... Spotting is more common in long cycles.'

'Cervical fluid can be tinged brown, pink or red.....'

Are you taking your temp? It says in the book that 'spotting occurs within a couple of days of a thermal shift' So you could be due to O any day now..... I'd get DTDing ;P

Also with PCOS, well with me I never for EWCM, mine was usually watery...... GL

Thanks RhiChiChi, I did read that somewhere actually. As long as it's not bad then I guess I'm ok
    Maybe you are right?

never heard mid.cycle bleeding being bad before. Have you dtd lately.sometimes it can irritate something then a few days expell old blood.
