Hit me with some 1st Birthday Gift ideas for my twin boys

    HELP...

I am out of ideas as to what to get my twins boys for their first birthday which is in 3 weeks time.

As they have an older sister (2 1/2) we already have heaps of toys - walkers, ball pits, ride on cars etc so I'm stumped as to what to get them which is something more 'boy' appropriate and I'm also tossing up if I should get them something each or 1 bigger combined present.

To give you an idea of what they enjoy I currently have one twin rolling around the floor in a pile of cushions and the other has banging 2 metal tins on the kitchen tiles making a huge racket

How about a train table with trains and tracks etc? Although they are still young, it won't be long til they will be able to play with them (having said that DD got hers for her 2nd birthday and I have video of DS standing up at the table at 8mths old and loving it - and he is nearly 4 now and still a huge Thomas fan!)

    Thanks Tanstar

I had a look at some online today and got one on special for $80 which has the train and train tracks and also the table has roads for use with cars as well. I think DD will probably play with it more but I'm sure it won't be long before the boys will want to take part.

I also found some inflateable sports things - soccer goal and ball, basketball hoop & ball, tee ball stand and bat which I thought would be good to help with fine motor skills as they are both almost walking plus it can be used indoors over the cold winter months and won't take up too much space

Tarhli - We got our twins a little plastic see-saw - you know one of the moulded ones that rocks. It was just from Kmart and only about $20. It is fantastic for the twins - they spend all day rocking on it If one is being a meanie and doesn't want to play, the other can sit on the middle part and rock by herself. We have used it inside and outside. It is probably our present that has had the most use.
Both of the girls also love playing with DS's trainset and cars.

Can't believe your little men are almost one already!

Mrs Cricket: It's scary how fast these kids are growing isn't it... No longer babies... Where did that time go?? I'm sure having 2 has meant the time has gone twice as fast. Don't you agree.

I know the see-saw you mean - we have one already along with the slide as well. Shall we say DH pretty much buys DD whatever she shows an interest in which now means there isn't much left that we don't already have....

We are already working out that Xmas this year will be the BIG presents - Cubby and trampoline and then next year the swing set and then the year after it will be bikes, it's just these pesky birthdays inbetween that have me stumped
