Birthday present ideas for a 5 year old boy

DD1 is going to her first 'boy' party on Sunday and I have absolutely no idea what little boys like. Normally for the girls I get something like a jigsaw, book or similar with some play jewellery. I'm guessing little boys won't like a fairy necklace

    Any ideas ladies? Thanks.

    Lego, paints, craft stuff?

DS is 5 turning 6 and he likes the following things:

Lego, Puzzles (spiderman, ben 10, dinosaurs etc), Avengers, Power Rangers, Dinosaurs.

He loves books especially ones on things like dinosaurs and bugs.

Boys like jigsaws and books too! My 5yo DS is really into his lego and superheroes. Don't go with the lightsabre - I'm sick of being hit with my DS's. Cars are also a good bet.

DD went to a 5yr old boy party last week and we bought him hot wheels cars and a dinosaur puzzle.
Other things he got were bubble wand, dinosaur stickers, superman costume, transformer, lego, plastic bugs, ben 10 figurine, ben 10 activity books. Um that's all I can remember!

Thanks everyone - great suggestions. Except for a few of those things my pink people would love most of that stuff too. So boys aren't from a different planet after all ??? ;-)
