Really really super good night nappy (or help with my existing ones)

DS is wetting through his night nappies almost 100% consistently. We have 3 large GF super super trims (which were secondhand) and 3 OSFM GF windpro night nappies (which were bought brand new). He leaks through them all. THey fit really really well, no gaping or anything, but they leak! The leak happens where the snaps are above the thigh (side snapping) out the top and onto his jammies and my bed I've strip washed them, which doesn't seem to have helped, so now I'm starting to think he's too heavy a wetter for GF is there anything else I can do that might help me with my existing night nappies or should I give up and try another brand? And if it's the latter, what's a night nappy that's better/more absorbent than Genesa Forge?

I've used mazalicious and twinkle lilly super nights with success.
What covers do you use? Wool is best, I find, and will make them last longer as it evaporates some of the moisture. And what do you use to wash them? sometimes they will repel water if not washed enough/or with wrong sort of detergent.

BBH night nappies with a wool or fleece cover. Or even a PUL cover - would just give you that extra layer of protection.

Twinkle Lily Super Nights are the bomb. Fabulous nappies.
Have you tried Sustainable Hemp Sandmans? They were successful here for DD1, but I need the TLs for DD2 most of the time.

I don't use covers as they don't need them - maybe I could try that? I wash with a quarter scoop of ecostore in a cold wash.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll start doing some research

I used to put fleece longies or wool shorties over my GFs.

I used to use BBH with 2 long inserts plus a fleece cover ... then the same with wool soakers ... mazalicious nights are darn good .. KK nights work really well, there's about 13 layers of bamboo there. But they need a cover. Although the best night nappies I've ever found are the Snoozywuns from widddlewuns - they are great, no covers needed either. Fleece outer and heaps of bamboo. Not that trim, but they don't need to be for a tummy sleeper. And I can't help but pat his bum in them!!!

If you have more inserts or bamboo, just pad them up heaps with more and put some microfleece or silk in as a liner to protect tender skin.

    good luck!

Ok, update. I tried him last night in his GF windpro with wool shorties and he still leaked through onto his jimmyjams maybe I didn't lanolise the wool properly?

I have a large maz and a large beetlebums otw, as well as two llamajama wool soakers, i'm really hoping that these guys do the trick

When you take the nappy off is the whole nappy sodden? .. Just trying to think is he a big wetter so the nappy is at capacity or is he peeing to quick/hard for the nappy and its leaking before it absorbs..
