I have no idea if thats what is going on but I'm wondering if it's possible. My body has been all over the shop lately since d&c last September and miscarriage in March. I've been really nauseous since Friday, getting worse. If I had my "normal" 6 week cycle I would be about 10 days late. HPT says I'm not pregnant.
Is it possible this is Part of the pms symptoms of my cycle?
I've had ear problems recently and been on abs, so I accept that it may be related but abs are finished and I'm getting worse so thought is check if anyone else has nausea in LP
Argh as much as I hated the surprise when af arrived before with my dodgy body before DD, I'd definitely prefer that over this!!
I have, but it's normally related to gluten sensitivity, which in turn messes with hormones. ABs have a similar effect on me, which makes sense because they kill off the good bacteria in the gut. It takes about 2 years to heal the gut after a course of ABs.
Have you tried a bloodtest? Some women dont get positive HPTs.
if you have an ear infection, it may be a balance/vertigo thing.
Going back to gp tomorrow. He doesn't think it's an infection. Out me on abs to eliminate any chance of infection before investigating some jaw issues. The stuff I've googled about the jaw issue he mentioned suggest the pain in my ears perfectly. Dizziness which I've had a little of the past few weeks, headaches etc. no mention of nausea though. Which is what made me me wonder if it is cycle related.
the thing with my jaw? not sure - the muscles are problematic - have been for a while - stress leads to tense muscles - been getting them worked on every couple of days (there are bonuses to being awesome friends with your masseuse and sitting less than 10m from him at work...). hurts like a biatch though! the jaw disorder the gp mentioned is TMJ (temperomandibular jaw disorder) - which is more about the joint than anything - not sure i'm keen on having that manipulated. all my googling says it's more about managing pain for chronic condition
given the pain in my ear/s started 7 five days befoer the nausea, i'm kinda thinking it's not related - just bad timing.
BG hope you can sort it out quickly as its a horrible feeling I have a splint to wear at night for my TMJ, but it's broken so my jaw and ear are so sore atm.
I've had LP nausea ever since my first pregnancy, m/c in July 2009. It is really annoying, only thing that seems to fix it is pregnancy, and that's just not a feasible long term option....
LnBs theory on gluten is interesting. Will try that next time.
There's a few things about your posts that pointed to relating to the nausea.
The AB's
Pain
Dizziness
Tense muscles
Ear disturbances
BUT, to answer your original question, yes it is possible. I was getting nausea and reflux mid cycle and with AF for about 6 months but not on every cycle and not always at the same severity.
There are a wide range of things that cause nausea - hormone irregularities, food intolerance, vitamin deficiencies (Vit D is a big one), illnesses, medications (natural and Western).
