Does it count as a kick if you poke bubs?

I know this question was asked not long ago but I can't find the thread. Bubs has been moving heaps less yesterday and today. I know it's normal to feel different movement now because bubs is running out of room but they're usually still really active. (moving head and hands and pushing limbs out)

I went into maternity last night to check and it took an hour of monitoring before they got a trace they were happy with. Today bubs still hasn't moved much but if I push on them a little they move in response but i'm still getting minimal movement on its own.

Does it count if I push/poke bubs?

It might have been my thread you were talking about!

This happened to me and my Ob said its good that it shows the baby is responsive but it isn't counted in kicks, and told me if it happened I needed to go in for monitoring.
