I have always been quite regular.. 28 -32 cycles (although the 32 isn't near as common as the spot on 28 days even when not taking the pill)..
But I last AF the day before Good Friday, so going on 9 weeks now.. There have been a few times that I have thought AF was coming to have all the feeling just disappear..
I am mostly worried cause if she does decide to show up, it will be while I am out, and very messy (I very rarely get a light lead up.. A cramp, then whoa, she's here)..
I have done POAS, last week and a fortnight before, just to be sure, but we do use contraception, so it was such a minute chance..
So why would AF just disappear. I am 33, so not old, but it is quite confusing..
Mines disappeared as well, I'm blaming it on the weight I've gained. Mine have always been irregular though, so there was a warning as such. If yours are regular, maybe it's a stress thing? You could always go to your doc and get your hormone levels tested, maybe that would provide some answers.
Hopefully it's a one off and she'll show up for your next one
ETA - I understand being worried about mess, could you start wearing a pad when you go out, and put a few more in your bag? Especially if you use cloth pads. I used to wear a maternity pad every day when I was expecting her, and it thoroughly annoyed me to have to throw out an empty pad at the end of the day! My h better than being caught short though

: Thought of something else
Are you under weight or over weight? Have you had a lot of stress or anxiety in the last few months? These are all things that can contribute to AF going missing in action.
It would be worth going to a GP and getting the definite all clear by having a blood test that you are not pregnant and they may refer you to a Gynae just to make sure everything is OK.
Perhaps wear one of the panty liners that are quite absorbent during the day and carry a pad or super tampons in your bag for the unexpected arrival.
