We sold our washer/dryer the other day. Bought it for $1500, sold it for $350. That's another hugely annoying thread though *shakes fist*
I've just got a call from them asking if the dryer is working. Apparently the clothes aren't getting bone dry as she expected. I don't remember them ever getting that dry, they were always the tiniest bit damp when they came out - I used to just leave them on the bed for half hour to let them dry out. I figured it was because it was a condenser dryer, and it never bothered me. But now she has me thinking - is that normal for a condenser, are they always gonna be 'humid' IYKWIM?
No idea myself, only had a regular dryer & it 'bone dried' clothes. Haven't a clue how the condenser thing works? Maybe it is normal for washer/dryers. MIL got one for christmas, but I haven't been there since she got it.
If I do wash/dry then yeah not completely dry. If I do just dry then things are pretty much bone dry. I hate the condenser drier tho, takes forever and is not water friendly. Read on Choice that the water ratings on these machines is only for washing. They're not required to rate the water usage for drying and it uses a surprising amount to dry. Would love to get a normal drier next. But it's been handy while renting.
