Ebay or FB garage sale type sites?

Where do you think the best place is to sell stuff these days? I have HEAPS of clothes i want to get rid of but not sure what the best way is these days. Heaps of people I know use the FB garage sale sites but to me, it doesn't seem like the safest way to sell things. I've used ebay in the past myself but i don't know... more people seem to use fb. The ones near where i am seem to be really slow in selling things iykwim.

What do you use? Why? Have you sold stuff on FB sites before?
Any advice??

I haven't had much success selling clothing on ebay at all.

If I need something I check gumtree first then eBay.

I haven't sold anything before but my sister and friends have used gumtree with quick results.

I put my oven up on gumtree and sold it within 2 hours.
