    Myki

(Not sure if I have put this in the right section)

I travel a lot on public transport- no car or license.

Where do I buy a Myki from?
How do I top it up?

    I'm in Victoria.

    Hi Em

You can buy from train stations and possibly other locations - check online at the myki website.

Top ups can be done at all sorts of places - stations, 7-11s, my local milk bar... You can also top up online or set up a regular debit, like if my balance goes below ten dollars, automatically top up with 50 or something.

Check out the website, best place to start.

I bought mine online, and I usually pop some pocket change on it anytime I'm at a train station You can also set up automatic top-ups online!

You can also buy full price myki from the machines at tram stops. I got mine from a train station, topped it up at the machine & registered it (in case i lose it). I just top it up on payday at a machine.

Oh yeah registering is a great tip. I topped up with $50 one day and then lost it

    Lesson learned.

I got one at the train station & put an initial amount on to be able to travel that day ($7 for the card, $7 for the travel) then topped up online with my credit card. I initially was avoiding them TBH but I quite like using it now

I have one I bought mine at Southern Cross, and I just top it up whenever I'm at a Melbourne train station.

Go card, but for Melbourne. Cheaper, but not as good.
