    Vacuums

Ok so i have been reading up on the replies on here about dyson's. And we are looking at getting a new vacuum. Things is our last one which is the one we have now was $1200 was/is fantastic is 7-8 years old now. Has a power head hepa filta ect ect was a top of the top one. Its a Wertheim 60something lol. Now im unsure if is hould get their new model or get a dyson.

I have beyond loved the wertheim its been fantastic only thing is not sure if we want to spend that much again and have heard the dyson is good. But ive never had one so i just dont know so has anyone had a wertheim or a dyson if so which do you think is better. Also were looking for one thats going to last and the last thing that sold us was how much of a beating the wertheim could take in the demo the sales guy was jumping up and down on it lmao.

edit: the new model is wertheim 6035 with PB22powerhead in case you want a looksy to compair. i know dyson have a power head one...i think lol

We just brought a dyson. Totally love it. The amount of dirt, dusk and crap it gets up is amazing.

I went looking last week and had the very same dilemma as you - I had a Wertheim that needed repairing and was looking at a Dyson.

I tried the Dyson's out at the shops - powerhead and all, and in the end just took my Wertheim back to repaired - the Dyson just didn't compare

what wertheim do you have is it the new one 6035 or the 6030? sorry i just love mine and am a lil sad at the thought the new ones have such bad reviews and may have to get a dyson...which ive never had or tested out. Oh and what was wrong that you needed to get fixed if you dont mind me asking

Its an older one - a 5035. The rod has snapped a couple of times and needed replacing, and there was something the matter with the powerhead a couple of years ago (cant remember what)...belt on powerhead also needed replacing last week.

For me it is the power, the dyson didn't "Feel" as powerful...but that could just be me

Ok so you have the same one i do. I love it just i broke the rod about a month ago lmao was def my fault and the liht is gone in the powerhead but other than that works great. Thing is i didnt just break the rod i broke the black clips that hold the rods together near the main handle so i cant just replace the rod i need the rod and the handle bit attached to the silver hose thing lol.

Oh the powerhead works but the metal prongs to plug in are bent due to kids pfft. But it still works fab. Dh has glued it together for now till i decided.

pls excuse the spelling mistakes on my galaxcy
