    lots of questions!

    Hello
I just joined this forum site. I am nearly 26, married for almost a year to a wonderful man. My husband is 25 and would love a baby sometime soon but I am so nervous. I had tried going off the pill a few times but end up feeling quite panicked about the whole thing and go back on as it is the safer option! I have had some depression, anxiety and body issues in the past few years and I am terrified of the changes to my body, our lifestyle, our sex life especially lol, I am nervous about how a baby will change our time together. Have other people had these worries, and how did you overcome them. I definitely do want children, but just can't seem to get past these fears. Any advice would be very appreciated. I know I am not pregnant as yet, but hope no one minds me posting in this forum! Thank you

I think all your feelings are quite natural but it is important to really discuss these with your husband. There is no doubt about it that things are going to change, but it is not necessarily for the worst. If you're relationship is strong and you keep the lines of communication open throughout your marriage then you have nothing to fear. Good luck with your TTC journey. It is an amazing time in your life.

It's normal and natural to have those feelings, as a baby does change your whole life. But you change and adjust to each situation. It's an amazing adventure, and like Ali said, keep the communication open, talk to other mums if need be.

I have had times of changes to my sex life, with and without being pregnant and having a baby, but if your relationship is strong, and you are there for each other, it'll be a wonderful experience

    Hi farmgirl86

    Welcome to BellyBelly!
My husband and I were exactly the same, 'thought' we wanted a baby but were so scared we wouldnt 'cope' and would turn a child into some crazed lunatic or something . All your feelings are perfectly normal, it does change everything, it is hard but its something that I would have sold my soul to experience. We never really became certain we were ready until we couldnt fall pregnant and then we both went 'yep, we are sooo ready'.
Talk to your husband about all those fears and anxieties. Talk about it all until you're blue in the face, write down pro's and con's and why you feel that way and maybe you will realise you are more ready than you think or maybe you both think you want to wait a bit longer. I hope that when you make the call your TTC journey is quick
