From top to bottom are Booroi small and large, Bumboo small and Iishfly large.
All are brand new/not yet prewashed so I'm not sure if they'll shrink differently.
To me the bumboo and large booroi are about the same size although bumboo is wider where booroi is taller if that makes sense.
Still a few weeks (hopefully) before I have a baby to test them on but hopefully that helps anyone in a similar position to me. Both Iishfly and Booroi seem to have been discontinued but there are still a few floating around.
It can be hard to picture the differences between brands.
They even shrink differently within the same brands. I have a heap of Bumboo prefolds. Most shrunk about the same amount but one shrunk a good inch more than the others .
k4t, thanks for that - that's really helpful. There's quite a difference between them, isn't there? Is there any chance you could post pre-wash and post-wash dimensions of them, as well?
These are the prewash dimensions. It will take me a few days to give them all a good swim.
Bumboo 39x36.5cm
Small booroi 35.5x34cm
Large booroi 40.5x36cm
Iish fly large 30.5x38.5cm

did you buy them all brandnew? or are some 2nd hand (already washed) and some brand new?
i also used baby beehinds "bamboo foldups", which were 30 x 30, perfect size for the newborn bilby. and then later on, used them as nappy boosters, pocket stuffers etc - so they got used the entire nappy time (2.5 years).
i remember seeing prefolds sold in different sizes.
i expect shrinkage may vary with fabric composition. eg 100% bamboo, blends of cotton and bamboo (in different ratios).
Gigi these are all brand new. Mostly from closing down sales. Yeah, I'm hoping that even if I don't love using prefolds and covers for long they should have lots of other uses to get my values worth.
Post wash sizes:
Bumboo 38.5 x 35.5cm
Small booroi 34 x 32.5cm
Large iish fly 30.5 x 35cm
These were all after one hot wash and two cold washes with prewashes and extra rinses in my front loader then dried on low heat in the tumble dryer. I measured two of each and averaged them but the differences were only give or take a cm at most. I haven't washed any of the large booroi yet.
