On DH's side, there's a history of problems with gluten and dairy and DS has had bowel problems for years so we've seen a dietician and we're goign to do an elimination diet.
We're cutting out gluten, dairy, additives (as recommended by dietician) and going for moderate salicylates, amines, glutamates.
Any advice from anyone who's done this with kids? Great recipes? I'm going to give us a week or so to get organised before we start. DS is somewhat motivated to do this due to the tummy pain, so that's something. I just know he's going to be using hte words 'gross' and 'disgusting' a whole lot more, though
Gaps is good. Lots of broth and good quality probiotics. I can't eat mold of any form eggs dairy etc and gaps is helping that. Also olive leaf extract is awesome- take for 3-6mth but check with Dr

Do you have a chance to ease into it or you need to start it quickly?
i found breakfast the hardest thing. But if i don't plan meals and shopping i can often be left staring into an unfriendly fridge.
Once you get some recipes and books it's easier to plan, planning is essential. Its good that more then 1person is going to start the new eating pattern- makes it easier i think.
I took me about 3weeks to really notice the new eating was making a difference. The 1st 2weeks are tricky cause you have cravings etc. But its well worth the extra effort once the results start showing. Its kinda exciting
