Overnight dramatic drop in supply ... caused by cold?
Normally, I bf around 5am then straight after pump (>200ml), then I pump at 11am (approx 400ml), then I pump at 3pm (>200ml), then I bf at 6pm, then I pump and/or feed at 9pm and again at midnight.
Today I overslept, and so bf at 7am and was drained ... then at 11am I only managed to get 300ml, at 3pm I didn't even get 200ml, and DS is still asleep so I'm pumping, and I haven't even managed 100ml.
It kind of feels like I'm not getting a proper let down ...
I still feel full-ish and uncomfortable, hard and itchy nippled and all the rest, from being too full ... but it won't come out!
The only unusual thing I can think of is that I've got a cold, but I've had it for 2 days and I've been feeding and pumping fine until today!
What's wrong???
Help!

No, not caused by the cold, but caused by remaining full, which effectively told your body to slow down on production (and you probably did sleep because you were unwell, so in a roundabout way it was the cold) You are still getting *fabulous* amounts of milk. By the time you got to the 100mls you were probably stressed that your milk supply had reduced....which affected your letdown.
Forget it - your doing great. Relax, feed, rest, look after yourself. Nothing can stop a milk supply like that very quickly
