Stress, weight loss, increase in exercise, anovulatory cycle can all throw a spanner in the works hun. Hope it sorts out soon hun.
My cycle has been a bit odd since having the kids, was always around 30-31 days pre-kids but it's getting longer and longer and I am currently at CD 36. Is it normal for period to do this - I had symptoms about a week ago, have been cranky feral pants and thought I felt some cramping last night but still no AF?
I am totally clueless and was worried I might be pg as we use withdrawal method and charting, and although we haven't had any accidents we clearly know it isn't foolproof(time to get Implanon I think) anyway I did a HPT last night which was neg so I really don't think I am pg, just unsure if it's normal for AF to fluctuate so much and be this late!!!!

Thanks babe, increase exercise and stress might be it - pity it's not weight lossJust frustrating and I had better get Implanon even though I am a scaredy cat because HPTs every few motnhs when my cycle goes out of whack are costing me a fortune!
What about a Mirena IUD Tan?
I've had both and I found the Mirena HEAPS better. Hurt less going in as well.
Hope it sorts out hun.
I hope AF turns up soon hun. I'm oh so familiar with the stress when she doesn't show up! Seriously I need to do something about that too.
It's doing my head in, no symptoms at all. No pg symptoms either though so I dunno. Could the HPT be inaccurate? Now I am stressing that I am pg and it's not testing +? With DS it came up SO strongly and straight away and wasn't a morning wee. I have another - is there a good time that I should try again? I mean I am CD36but technically only 2 days late becasue of my cycle, but I have never been this late before. I am exercising but it's not like it's super out there exercise, just running weights etc. Arghhhhh so annoying!
Are you sure that you ovulated this month? An anovulatory cycle could be the reason, with me if I don't O then my cycle can go for 40ish odd days.
Stressed more than usual?
Maybe if she doesn't show by the weekend do the other test first thing in the morning?
Thinking of you x
I have no idea babe,Clearly clueless here, I don't really pay that much attention, even with our ahem - hugely successful contraceptive method. I have never missed a period in my life though but I guess that makes no difference! Arghhh I keep going to the toilet hoping AF is here! I really really don't feel pg but then again Ithought DD was a boy and DS was a girl so clearly have no idea!
ETA: I should add that I use the term charting loosely - as in, I track my period and somewhere in the middle I tell DH to be careful!![]()
I don't want to scare you but this baby was a surprise, we were pretty much just being careful in between periods but not charting really (we were planning on having one more so if it happened it wasn't a big deal) anyway, at the time my period was due I had terrible back pain and cramping - I was sure it was going to arrive with a vengeance but it didn't, I took a test a week later when I had more cramping and yes, I'm pregnant.
I would expect that it should show up by now though if you were, maybe try again with FMU.
To add to the other side, I have had my period missing for 3 months due to stress too.
Arrrghhhh DD!!!! We really don't want a #3 (yes I know we should be more careful but then again we have used this contraceptive method for 15 years!!) but anyway, I would have thought it would show up too but who knows. What is FMU?!
FMU = first morning urine.
Sorry, I take it back, we were totally tryingseriously though, we did want another but next year would have been nice, 4 c/sections in under 4.5 years isn't really my idea of fun.... But I can't wait now for the newborn snuggles.
Good luck, I hope that AF arrives for you soon.
My AF before this one just went missing. I was 6 weeks late.. So 2 and 1/2 months between and this one was back to 28 days..
No idea but every few cycles my body decides to miss an AF.. Get symptoms that disappear. I even had DH worried and bought PG tests for me before I took cold and flu tablets. I am quite overweight though, so not sure if that is a factor in mine..
Hope it eases your mind a little that someone else's body can do the same thing, and not be pg.
Could be just a random annovulatory cycle??
Or if your AF is becoming more irregular I think that's just something that happens when you get older. Although I didn't think you were old enough for that.
That's all the theories I've got, LOL. Not helpful huh?
Thanks DMB and Heaven - I am 36 so getting on a bit!! Mum went through menopause early so who knows!!! Not quite ready for that though!
Just popping in this morning hoping that you received a much wanted visitor overnight![]()
Nope no visitor but did a HPT first thing this morning and it was negative. I am putting it down to my running and stress - athough now Im not sure when to expect AF again, is it a skipped period so should technicially arrive at CD 31-34 again as normal?
