TMI, but I need to ask

Ok so I went on the mini pill after dd3 was born.
I was taking them daily but then thought, why bother when I wasnt exactly getting lucky every day and they were making me even more nuts than normall
    So I stopped taking them.
31/7 and 1/8 we dtd. On the 31st I took a pill just in case and have been taking them daily since.

Heres the TMI part, on tuesday arvo I went to the loo, and when I wiped there was a heap of mucous, which was blood tinged. I wiped again, whic was bright red blood. That was it for the day. Then on wednesday I had the same happen again. Since then nothing. I have stopped takiing mini pill cause Im sick and there is no way that I am getting any action whilst I am feeling this way.

So what you do you think the go is? Is that af trying to make a come back? ovulation? other? Im actually rather confused. And for what its worth, af returned around the 18mnth mark with the other two.

    Thank you

hmm not sure, when I went on the mino pill I spotted heaps and it was almost like I was having a 3 day period every 10-13 days. I stopped after 6 weeks and we used condoms until I finished breastfeeding, didn't suit me

I'm not really down with the whole mini-pill thing, but the 'real' pill is only effective if you take it consistently - you can stop start when you feel the need. So purely based on that, I would say that perhaps it hasn't been effectively working, so I would go from a perspective of you not taking it at all.
I would do a pg test, then deal from there, and resume taking it daily (if that is how the mini pill works).

    Thanks Sararose.

I cant stand the mimpill, it affects my moods way too much, and I feel like Im going nuts on it. Besides not getting the chance to do anything, thats why I stopped using it. I have to make an appt with the gp and work out other options.
But now Im so confused as to what my body things its doing

    Thanks Limeslice.

I think the mini pill works within 24hrs. I think. Well Im pretty sure it works faster than the pill. I shall go check it out

    eta, its works within 48hrs.

TMI, but I need to ask

The mini pill made me bleed very inconsistently when I took it after our second child..soo much so I decided to stop taking it and go back onto the normal pill but mother nature had other plans and we now have our third bubs who is 12 weeks old...
I have no idea wat your body is doing but just wanted you to know I fell pregnant very quickly once I stopped taking it!

    Thanks all.

I have done the same every time round. Started out on the mini pill, then stopped and we've used nothing and been safe until the 18mnth mark. Im hoping theres no chance of pregnancy, I really really dont want another baby just yet, actually we still havent decided whether we are finished.
The bloody mucous was a first. Thats what Im not sure about. Ive kinda of taken it that its assumed that everyone thinks its other, and could be sign of pregnancy? Slighltly freaking out.

I had no idea the mini pill was different to the regular pill. If it's not as strong how can it work so differently??

Ausgirl, Im not sure why it works so differently, I'll have to google it again.

I have no clue as to what a cycle is for me right now, also after talking to my ob about it, he assured me that my body was likely to repeat history and shouldnt worry about using anything, so I gave it no thought. The only reason why I restarted taking the pills was because of a silly comment dh made, it just happened to be the same comment he has made after dtd, which after three times of him saying it, I was pregnant. Silly reaction. I cant get into my dr for another week or two until he gets back from the olympics. The last time I had something similar happen, I was losing my plug.
