Maximum of 2 pages for the cover letter. Try to have most of what you want to say on your CV and just highlight important parts from the person spec in your letter.
Would you want to read 2 full pages from 100+ applicants?
As the title states, if a job has no KSC do you just include your CV with a cover letter? How long can the cover letter be? I feel like I need to add a heap more info but then again I have NO idea about jobs outside teaching where we do one page KSC per criteria.
Thanks in advance!!

I'd try to keep it to a 1 page letter, to be honest - with a 4 - 6 page CV - listing work experience, and maybe a page of 'skills'.... I usually have my skills listed under headings... such as....
adminstration skills, tutoring/training skills, professional skills, other skills....
when I used to work in employment services, that usually how I wrote them for others - and TFB is right.... employers never wanted to read long winded applications that were sent, they always looked at the CV for the information, and wanted it easy to find![]()
good luck!
My CV won't cover it though unfortunately so am hoping to talk about some of it in the letter!! I can't believe in teaching jobs there are usual 5-7 criteria at one page each...... Imagine being on the panel, that would suck!
Ahhh cool that might cover it actually, so I would put that in the CV section after employment or something! God I am clueless!maybe a page of 'skills'.... I usually have my skills listed under headings... such as....

I usually lay it out something like this.....
page
1 = Identifying details - then headings.... Education, Professional Memberships....
2 = Skills...... (as above... with appropriate headings - depending on the job I'm going for!)
3 = Relevant Work Experience
4 = Work experience continued and/or Volunteer Work (if relevant) (and referees at the bottom or on the next page....)
Sometimes I put 'interests' either at the very end, or on the first page.... it's not always relevant, but sometimes CAN show you have a 'broad' skill base.....
Good luck!
Thanks hun that is exactly what I needed!![]()
