this is so funny, I was just about to come post something nearly identical to this. I have had restless legs since 6wks. Over the last 5 days it has gotten worse in my left lower leg. I find that my leg goes numb and i clench it up and flex my calf muscle and curl my toes. I have been taking magnesium for the restless legs. Will be asking my doctor tomorrow about it though.

I had horrible restless legs with DS (maybe your having a Boy ) I had to get up and pace the room in the middle of the night on most nights. Magnesium helped and also stretching just before bed. For the love of god, don't flex your foot backwards...I did that once and the calf completely seized up

i know all about the leg seizing from my first pregnancy. Normally I just know to stretch with my feet pointing straight up but I seem to be doing this without realising. I have sciatica pain on my right side so not what is causing my problems. Sort or evens up my legs with problems though

Bugger Kaz! I think I'm going to book in for a massage. Someone you can relieve the muscle tension, I reckon that is what is causing it. Perhaps a massage for you as well might be a good idea?

massage, stretching in the pool, pushing a tennis ball into your bum cheek and wiggling, osteo/chiro/physio can all help.

I asked my Dr and she said to drink Indian Tonic water (ok to mix with something). At least one glass a day. Also to stretch for 20 minutes at least 30 minutes before going to bed.

Where can you buy Indian Tonic Water from? Woolies? And do you have to drink a few glasses a day or just before bed kind of thing?

Yeah coles or woolies. Shweppes sell it. She did not really say but my best bet would be some time before bed. She said it had some natural properties in it that would help.
