Also interested in this. I've been looking, but can only find the fiddly stuff!
I'm looking for some good quality cabinet and drawer locks. Where did you get yours and how much were they? Nothing fiddly, I want to be able to open cupboards easily, and for DS not to. Too much to ask? lol

Same! I just bought four packs of these stupid things...... which only work on one cabinet in the kitchen as the handles are close together. Corner cabinets, forget about it, and drawers, no way. Bah! Lucky they were only $2 each. I should've known..... lol
im interested too! as we are starting to sus out how to babyproof our kitch (gating it off isnt an option). if i find and good ones ill let you know. bunnings has a whole section for baby proofing which id say is where we will get stuff (cause i love bunnings).
I found store bought things didn't work on my cupboards so I used ribbon to tie the handles together until dd got older
This is where people go wrong with baby proofing. Locks on the doors won't keep them out however when used correctly condoms are 98% effective.
as if noone has any serious baby proofing tips!! you would think everyone would have something that worked/didn't work for them.
We have gates that block off our kitchen/bathroom and master bedroom. We also have a gated off playroom connected to our main living area. We did purchase the magnetic locks (2 years ago) but DH hasn't put them on. I just tied the cupboards closed with a ribbon if the gates were open.
Bumping for you..
Also, found some cabinet locks that are quite easy to use in masters. They are stretchy ones that you can use flat or around corners. They stick on and you only pull the tab to unlock it it's tricky for bubs to do as you need quite a lot of force. I wasn't sure if we were alowed to post links but if you need the name of it please pm me. I've found they work wonders and stick to most surfaces!
Now to find the solutions to the draws in the kitchen! Looks as if they will be magnetic though. :-)
I used latches that you just had to push down to open the cupboard door, you can also use them in drawers. They worked so well. I got them at Baby Bunting.
Got ours from IKEAreally easy to use and were cheap (about $5).
The only place I had them was the cupboard under the sink where the cleaning products are.

I haven't bothered. My kids have never been overly interested in the cupboards. DD2 is the worst and she just has a little poke around, maybe drops some stuff on the floor every few days. I reckon it is easier to pick up stuff every once in a while than putting up with locks on the cupboard all the time.
I had some from the baby shops that you open a little then push down but TBH DD yanked so hard they actually broke.
HotI has this cool one that is a magnet, you run the magnet on the outside and it unlocks, have kept my girls out of her cupboards![]()
I've never used any baby proofing products. Just kept breakables/sharps up high. I actually open the plastics cupboard for DD to pull out & play with
All my cleaning stuff is up high. Never under the sink/laundry tub.
We have only put a lock from safety first ($10) on the sliding tv cabinet door to stop little fingers pushing buttons - annoying for us if we need to open it, but generally we dont as all the gadgets in there have remote control anyway, and the safety plugs into the power points, and we generally find it ok.
DS loves being in the kitchen cupboards with me - so I have my plastics drawer on the bottom, open it up for him - give him free reign in it, and hes happy as ever.
We used baby gates with DD1 more so than locks. She was an amazing climber from a very early age though so everything heavy (cabinets, dressers, etc) were anchored to the walls and still are.
We use those annoying but helpful latches on draws that stick on and have a plastic/rubbery strap that is held in place by two round knobs. You can stretch them around the corners of cabinets and draws and use them on toilet seats, fridges, etc. They don't come off easily though (which is good!) and can easily damage the surface. We've got them to stop both girl's from getting into draws and cabinets and to also avoid jammed fingers. DD2 is very excited about her latest discovery - draws.
The foam stoppers for doors are great too. I cringe at the thought of fingers being caught (or cut off) in a slammed door. The wind has caught our doors do many times and those foam stoppers have been a god send!
We've got the locks Tinks is talking about in our buffet where the expensive dinner wear, platters and glasses are. They are my favourites but you do need to screw them in.
I'll take a couple of pics of the others ones we use, too hard to explain. Lol!
All our locks are either from Bunnings, a baby shop or Target. Unfortunately I think any baby proofing is going to be a little fiddly or annoying for adults too. The easiest options are baby gates or play pens really.

Yep that. We've used those on most of our cupboards, but got ours from bunnings. Bit fiddley at first but you get used to it. And gated off hallway to laundry/toilet. Also have gate on his door, but that's to keep the cats out.
Have an old fashion bolt lock on pantry, but again already had that set up to keep the cats out. Also have a plastic swivel lock on fridge, but haven't used it yet as its too hard for him to open.
My DS is a bit full on, and if we didn't have them set up he'd be constantly going into them. I think he just tries to mimik us. That being said I have set up a drawer on the kitchen with some utensils and bowls etc to entertain him. My SIL kids got into pantry and poured a heap of its contents on the floor so I'm a bit weary.
