Gah! Small skin tags from pregnancy... disappear or have them removed?

I never had this in pregnancy before, but I guess due to the hormonal changes I developed several small skin tags - on my perineum. I also have another small one on my bikini line down low which can get sore if the underwear I wear rubs against it. I had a couple of others which disappeared from other areas of my body but these ones are still here.

I know skin tags are often removed with a string to strangle them, but these are too small, and I am very self concious of the few on my perineum. Anyone had them before and did they go away? Or did you get them removed (and how?!). Its really bothering me and I feel all icky with them being there. I reckon its gonna be pretty painful to have them removed/burnt off

I had some on my bikini line after baby #1. Soneone told be to use eucalyptus oil on then a few times a day and it worked great, they dried right out and pretty much just dropped off.

You're 'supposed' to see a doctor to have them removed.

Wow thats pretty cool! Did you wait to see if they disappeared first or did you do it soon after birth?

I have a couple I've noticed that have been where they are a while now. One near my arm pit that DD would pick at while feeding. Its still there, so maybe I'll try the eucalyptus!

How long did it take k4t? I might try the eucalyptus on my bikini line one, dab it with a cotton bud or something. So over them!

I've had them each pregnancy - just tiny, tiny ones ... but unfortunately the only way to get rid of them (for me, at least) is to have a GP remove them if they/as they get bigger. I haven't had any appear in any super-sensitive area though. For some reason I'm prone to them, but fortunately most are really small. I'd be keen to hear any other natural way to have them removed ... I might try the eucalyptus oil and see what happens.

I have heaps under my arms. If I can catch them while they're small enough I can usually either just pull them off without any pain or pinch them with my nails. I've had some removed by the doctor using 2 methods. One was freezing them and the other was cutting them off. Cutting them off was not great at the time but then they were gone and it was over and dine with. Freezing them was fine while the doctor was doing it but then they were really sore (probably within 20 min) and it took around a week for them to fall off.

Will have to try eucalyptus oil, sounds far more pleasant!

OK, so I'm not BAL but ... my GP removed mine with a cauterizing (spl?) scalple thingy. I was given a local first to ensure the area was numb, and as the tags were removed the scalple thingy also sealed them. Afterwards it just looked like a teeny tiny red burn mark which disappeared after a few days. Afterwards it didn't hurt, though I guess it felt like a tiny burn mark would feel. It certainly didn't bother me though.

TBH, the worst of it was having the local anaesthetic.

Normally I *shave* mine off with my razor, and my DP's too...is that weird? They bleed, but it's not an artery or anything
Given they're on/near your Fifi region though, I would NOT recommend that!!
Going to have to err on the side of 'common sense' (what is that I ask?!?!?!) and try natural before medicanal here, At least then you've given it your best shot hun xx

    Lol Sunny!!!

I picked a couple of tiny ones off my body and omg they bled! I tried to do the same with my bikini one but it was bigger than the tiny ones and bled heaps and hurt too much!! Going to find the eucalyptus today and dab it on each time I go to the loo. Hope it works! Might have to get the sensitive area ones burnt off. Not having injections or scalpels around there!!!!

If you can, get some thread and tie them off. It blocks blood supply and they fall off in a couple of days. No pain, no mess
