I am currently tossing up between the bugaboo donkey and icandy peach...i know totally different systems but that's how i roll
what i seem to like about the icandy peach is that it is a narrow pram and is lighter than most inline prams (thinking strider, city select).
what i dont seem to like (but happy to hear other experiences) is that baby faces away from you and is on the bottom. and with the second seat the storage looks almost impossible to reach??
are they built well? it seems to handle really well (in the shop with DD2 in it).
Hmmm, I don't have either so feel free to ignore my uneducated opinion (lol!). I just googled the iCandy, tbh out of that or the Donkey I'd go the Donkey hands down. Simply because for me, the option to face the children (especially the newbie) inwards is a big feature for me. I don't know if you've seen the new double Stokke ( haha) but they're double stroller is similar to the iCandy, but can face inwards. Not available until earlish next year in Aus though. So I say get the Donkey so I can come drool over it, because we're sticking with one pram and carrying the spare haha.
Looking At the age of your second child I would go the donkey simply because the seats are longer and you will get longer use out of it as a double. As long as you have skinny to average children.....if you have beefy children go for the I candy because the seats on the donkey are quite narrow. I love the Icandy, have for a long long time even before they were available here but I would prolly go for a donkey simply because I have bred a tall skinny toddler!
the thing with the icandy though is that i can have the maxi cosi facing towards me...so was thinking that i would prolly use that more than the bassinet?
the only thing that really worries me about the donkey is the width. we live in an area with those eeny meeny stores (yanno the ones with narrow doorways...) and i have this fear that (gasp!) i might not be able to enter them (total doomsday moment for me lol). unless i become totally obsessive and measure all their doorways
that said, the icandy although narrow is a bit like pushing a train (in that it feels quite long ITMS)...argh! i wish we could just borrow one of each for a week and THEN buy the one i want lol.
Ive got a donkey but it's sitting in my nursery all shiny and new because bub isn't here yet. You can attach the maxi cost capsule to your donkey as well, you buy the adapters
Well I made the call and decided to go with the donkey...in the end it was the fact that the second seat on the icandy, although muchly improved from the old model still meant that the kid on the bottom really didnt have a great deal of room and not great visibility to look around. I also like the idea of being able to interact with the young bub facing me and that the two kids together on the donkey can interact as well.
BUT, the icandy is pretty incredible notwithstanding. just not for us (i am a bugaboo girl from way back lol).
