    Coupons

I have been watching too much "extreme couponing" and its got me thinking about about coupons at home.
I remember mum clipping coupons but never have myself.
I'm not that keen on spending 40hrs a week on clipping coupons lol.

Who uses coupons? what for? is it worth it in au/nz? How much can you save on your shopping?

I know our supermarkets would never do things like double up the value of a coupon, allow you to buy more then 6 of an item etc

Very soon Im going to be a tight budget and every cent will count.

We don't really have couponing the same way as the US. Our junk mail occasionally has them but nothing that would save much.

    Re: Coupons

I'm sure the states will have to change some if their rules soon. With the financial climate, it doesn't seem right to have people buying up all the couponed items in 1 go.
I know a lot do give to charity, army, schools, hospitals etc and that's great.

I'll have a look at supermarket websites and see their coupon policies.
It would be a great thing for coupons to make a come back. If your willing to clip to save I am and my kids would love it

No coupons in NZ supermarkets anymore. The specials are automatic. Countdown has a Onecard that you need to swipe to get members deals.

The reason coup none works in the US is because they don't onsell to a discount food seller (like NoT Quite Right). They make the same amount for the coupons as they would to sell to a reseller. We have those discount shopping online sites now. So we have the same thing it's just that we pay more because there is another person in the equation. Most of the coupon stuff goes on sale because its discontinued or the packaging has changed. Or they are overburdened with stock that will end up past use by before it is sold.

But as for supermarkets, not really no. just get the RTC items when and where i can.
