    yay first part-time year is done and dusted . . . .

I guess this is just a bit of a woohoo for me (perhaps I should have put it in the woohoo forum! lol). I have been largely absent from BB this year as I have been busy following my dream. After the third year in a row of trying to get into my chosen degree at my chosen uni I finally got an offer last January. SO I took this as a sign that I had to seize the opportunity and go for it. I only took on a part time load as financially I have to stay in paid employment 3 days a week. I am also a first time uni student at the age of 35 so it has been a huge learning curve and somewhat stressful to say the least. There were times where I almost threw in the towel, and there were times where I felt like an aweful mum being stressed out and less patient with the kids than I should have been. But I made it! Well I'm 1/6 of the way there at least And I managed to finish the year with 3 High Distinctions and 1 Distinction (I was 0.9 of a mark short of a HD on that one). I know marks don't really matter as long as you pass but it was so rewarding to have the time I put in validated.
I am really looking forward to next year when I begin sharing the journey with 20 beautiful follow through women, and in semester 2, I commence my rostered shifts at the hospital.

    BRING IT ON !!!!!

I know how hard it is to work and study whilst having kids so I know what a big deal it is. You should be extremely proud. Enjoy your break! If you're anything like me you won't know what to do now you've stopped!

That's fantastic! It's a truly awesome feeling when you see those grades and you know that all the blood, sweat, tears, tantrums and late nights were worth it.

haha, yes Chody I actually really feel like I'm on holidays right now - even though I still have to go to work and I'm still doing the usual stuff with the kids. I must say I am enjoying being stress free right now but I am also super excited to get back into it next year.

Thanks Trillian, and yep I certainly had my fair share of tears and tantrums throughout the year
