I'm no where near a 'domestic goddess' so I thought I would try my luck at asking some people who are
Our dryer seems to have this annoying habit of spitting out a lot of excess dust/lint/fluff/stuff everywhere.. The floor.. The walls.. You name it, it gets there. Even into the toilet through a closed door..
Is there anything I can do about it or just have to grin and bare it until we can get a new one?
It's my brothers and he has had it for maybe 4 years, I don't know if it has always done it though (as it isn't the be$t dryer) or if its just getting on in years and nearly ready for replacement.
There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the seal on the door, and the lint trap thing always gets a fair amount in it after most loads. But the stuff that gets everywhere, gets everywhere!
Maybe just needs a service where the service person pulls off the shell and gives it a good check over and cleans out the accumulated fluff from inside. No matter how diligent you are with cleaning the lint filter, dryers still get a build up inside the shell.
We took ours apart a few years ago to change the fan belt on it, and the whole thing was just covered in lint! We cleaned it all out and put the back back on and it was like a new machine! Maybe worth a look?
