What area hun?
I am searching for a private lactation consultant for when I deliver in July.
After having problems feeding DD, being given the wrong information, told I should formula top up and lack of support in the hospital with their lactation consultants, I am really wanting someone who can come and help me establish feeding without having to top up with formula.
Recommendations and advice would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi Kelly, north Joondalup area![]()
Shaughn Leach is in WA, she teaches at Australian Doulas doula training too. She is about to run a workshop with Rebecca Glover - should be brilliant! Highly recommend.

Passing on info here:
Shaughn mostly works at King Eddies, which is in Subiaco, about 20 mins from Joondalup. Also, there is a lactation consultant that works from Fremantle, community Midwifery. She is either free or very cheap, Ruth is her name.

Thanks Kelly, I have emailed Shaughn![]()
I also highly recommend Cathy Garbin - she was wonderful with me.
Shaughn is lovely!
Have you attended an ABA class before? They run them up in Joondalup once a month and are also a great way to prepare yourself.
