No, but I saw the title of this thread and drooled. How about you make some, send me some and I'll taste test for you?
Rouge knows about all things salted and caramel...hopefully she'll pop in with a recipe
I love making fudge at christmas time for pressies and general muchies.
I am going through a major salted caramel phase and wondering if anyone has a great recipe for salted caramel fudge? I have been experiementing with my favourite regular caramel recipe but it appears to be turning out pretty badly...
Thanks so much![]()

Um no I don't have a recipe but now I have a craving...!!
I make salted caramels. With any caramel fudge recipe just add some sea salt flakes to the mix and sprinkle some on top before it sets. Easy peasy.
Here's a recipe I just. Found. Sounds yum. Might have to give it a go myself!
Salted Caramel Fudge - From Taste
Ingredients
395g can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons glucose syrup
1/4 cup golden syrup
125g butter, chopped
180g white chocolate, finely chopped
1 teaspoon sea salt flakes
Log in to add to
Method
Step 1
Grease pan a 4cm deep, 20cm (base) square cake pan. Line base and sides with baking paper, allowing a 2cm overhang on all sides.
Step 2
Place condensed milk, sugar, glucose syrup, golden syrup and butter in a saucepan over low heat. Cook, stirring, without boiling, for 10 minutes or until mixture is glossy and sugar has dissolved.
Step 3
Increase heat to medium-low. Bring to a simmer, stirring. Cook, stirring constantly, for 6 to 8 minutes or until mixture thickens and comes away from side of pan. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate until combined and melted. Spoon into prepared pan. Smooth top. Sprinkle with salt, pressing in with the back of a spoon to secure. Set aside for 30 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 6 hours or until firm.
Step 4
Cut into 2.5 cm pieces. Serve.

Oooh. Would you care to share the recipe please Rouge? Sounds delish
I second that rouge!
Just to hijack slightly if I may, and please excuse me... But what is the big deal with salted caramel at the moment? Is it just in fashion from being on cooking shows, and now its ice cream, etc....
It's delicious
I think it's the combination of tastes on the tongue. Like sweet & sour, chilli chocolate etc. Mostly because it's yummy
Netix it's been around for a long time. It's always been a favourite in my house as DH is a big caramel lover. And we've always been fans of salted taffy. I think it's just taken a while to catch on. But now it has...
I made a salted caramel cheese cake for DH's birthday...OMGit was heavenly!
