    Need some Advice on hospital

    Hi everyone

I need a little bit of advice. I had my first visit (20wk) with a doctor at the Toowoomba Hospital, lets just say, it was horrible. I felt uncomfortable, he was seriously so rude to another doctor and nurse i was horribley embarassed and he actually laughed in my face at one point. Anyhow - do you think it's OK that i ring up and change the date (they have different doctors on different days) so im with another doctor. The first inital 20wk thing wasnt even done completely because I didnt yet have my scans (this is after he called the people i get my scans with liars). Im feeling a little.. hurt to be honest that i've been treated that way by someone whose supposed to be caring for us. What do you all think?

yes, and I would also lodge a written complaint with the patient liaison officer.

Change. No question. You might want to consider making a complaint too.

I hope you have better care for the rest of your pregnancy.

    Thanks Girls,

Ive just gotten off the phone, changed my day to Monday from Wednesday and I asked who it was with and it wasnt the doctor I had before, although she did mention it might not be him (here's hoping to hell it wont be). I did confirm with her though that they have different doctors on different days and that I didnt want a Wednesday at all.

Thank you all for the advice. I do feel much better'

Good job! Is there a chance you could get him for the birth? Can you request not to?

To be honest Im not entirely sure - I know i get another midwife appointment closer in so im going to chat to her about it and let her know I do not want him as a doctor on the day.

That's a good idea. At least you can voice your concerns to her too
