    ice cream?

I cannot remember if i ate ice-cream from the shops with DD but wondering if it's ok to eat the ice-cream in a tub from the shops. Streets cookies & cream to be exact. I cannot see anything on the label to say that i can't and i can only find references to soft-serve ice creams. I ate a small bowl so hoping it's ok.

    I always have. I haven't heard anything suggesting I shouldn't.

as far as i know it's only soft serve icecream that you need to be wary of

    ice cream?

Yep it's just the soft serve, and the problem is not the ice cream itself but rather the cleaning (which is usually poor!) of the machines which encourages bacterial growth.

Ice cream is cooked prior to freezing, so there no special risk associated with eating tub ice cream.

As the other ladies mentioned, soft serve should be avoided if you are at all concerned about the standards of the machine it comes from, or the people who use it.

    ice cream?

Soft serve is only ice cream to avoid. Eat your heart out with magnums, cornettos and scoop ice cream in cone or cup.
