Afterpains

Hi,

just wondering how long after delivery you can have afterpains?

I had them a bit after DD2 was born (6 months ago), but not anything like I am having them now.

I am currently having my 2nd AF, my first one was 5 weeks ago and a bit light, so not a typical cycle, so this might be my first "true" AF, but the afterpains (if that's what they are) are a killer - I spent most of yesterday in bed, they were seriously as bad as labour pains.

Would it be afterpains at 6months? or is something else going on do you think?

Nope, not afterbirth pains this long post partum. I would say that you are just having some serious period cramps.
