    Red face Pg Lingo??

    Hello, I'm new to this forum and I'm afraid I don't speak the lingo. (I'm still getting over all the high technology of OPKs which we didn't have only 8 years ago when I conceived my firstborn)!

    I get AF = Aunt Fanny but the rest of it is all mumbo jumbo.

    Could someone point me to a glossary link or help me out with some explanations?

    Ta,
    Confused

    Hi Marydean, welcome to BB! There's a whole list of the jargon in the Messages for Moderators board, a sticky at the top, but in short:

    TTC = trying to conceive
    AF = Aunt Flo = period
    CD = cycle day (CD1 is first day of your period)
    DPO = days post/past ovulation
    bd/dtd = have sex
    POAS = pee on a stick = do an HPT
    HPT = Home Pregnancy Test
    BT = Blood test
    BFP = Big Fat Positive (on HPT)
    BFN = Big Fat Negative (on HPT)

    HTH (hope that helps)!

    (edit: link to other thread is here)

    Ah, you are all so lucky it's Friday night for you: I still have a day of work, or at least an afternoon of work, to get through! Major disadvantage of being a Brit on an Aussie site!

    You're most welcome, Marydean, glad I could help.
