I'd be calling your midwife blonde. It could be a leak of waters or anything. They'll have the answer for yougood luck!
Hi Ladies,
Very TMI but I want to get your opinions on it. I never had this kind of discharge with last pregnancy, I did have a normal amount but this type is different to me. Has anyone had this before? Is it normal? I have noticed it a little in the past week or so but it seems to be increasing a bit. I was wondering if it was normal or whether it was an infection? Sometimes when I pick up my Son (2 year old) or do a bit of walking, I also feel a small amount of loss....it doesn't feel like wee....could it just be discharge?
I have also heard somewhere that your water's can smell sweetI feel embarrassed asking but would that also be a possibility of leaking?
Yuck! It's gross![]()

I called the pregnancy assessment unit and I am going in for a speculum (spelling?) Which I really hate having but I would rather know whether everything is ok.
Hi Blondie, could the loss be from your bladder? I had no issues first pregnancy but loads second due to the stretched pelvic floor and weight of bub. Hope it sorts itself out quickly for you!
Thinking of you hun and hope all is ok. Let us know how you go![]()
Good Luck with the speculum Blondie, I hope it's nothing
I hope everything is alright. Good luck.
xo
hope everything is ok.
also maybe tmi? but amniotic fluid smells like semen if that helps?
TMI but around the same gestation I was having a yellowy green discharge and was certain it was an infection but turned out it wasn't (Dr did a swab). It hung around on and off for about two weeks. Dr said it can just be normal changes in discharge associated with bring pregnant.
So as it turns out it was Thrush and also some random fluid up there that wasn't my waters. The Doc put me on Canesten treatment and also told me that I have to watch the fluid coming out. The way it currently is, is fine but if it continues to accumulate it could cause an infection and then it would be harmful to the baby. Apparently we make random fluid during pregnancy - just most of us don't have heaps of it and don't really notice it.
Glad you got an answer!! sucks about the thrush though!!
Glad you got it checked out. Hopefully it clears up soon.
Good to hear it all checked out.
Yeah Thrush sucks but I'm just glad it was nothing serious!
