Wanted some advice from people that have been through it before (DD1 didn't engage at all, and couldn't due to super short cord and had to have a C/S with no labor at all so this is all new to me!) If occasional really ouchy pains for about 30 secs once every few days and on and off period type pain is everything getting ready? My middy said BH will be my stomach tightening, but I've only noticed it super tight once or twice and only by feeling it not by it actually feeling like it is contracting?
Just wanting to know if things are actually happening this time so I can relax and actually have some confidence my body is doing the right things this time, as I am really keen to avoid induction and C/S if possible (due 11th of Feb based on ultrasounds) and will probably say no to a S&S next week when I see the Dr, as it is only one day past the due date.
I had heaps of BH with dd, towards the end it was crampy. I had a lot of false/pre labour too which turned out to be a good thing because my actual labour was really quick and easy.
Dd was born at 39+1 so I would say your body is getting ready.
Are you feeling tired too? Does the cramps/tightening seem to be following a pattern or regular? I would find I'd get them in patches of a couple of hours.
Yay I'm pleased that my body is doing the right things this time lol.
Yeah tired alot. I had been putting it down to DD teething and me not getting much sleep. But even after pretty good sleep last night I still just want to rest.
Not sure about a pattern, seems to come and go in patches if I sit for awhile I'll get the odd ouchy pain and lots of pressure after getting up to walk around for awhile then it will settle back down. Only twice has it been just lots of ouch for 30sec. The one last night I needed to focus and breathe a little mostly because it took me by surprise.
Aside from that nothing too regular at all. Here is hoping all this on an off means a fast labor too haha
Sounds like my last pregnancy Had period pain type pains a few times, coming and going pretty regularly, would start thinking I was in labour then it would all stop. All that per labour meant the birth was quite quick compared to my first and was very straight forward. Good luck!
Still waiting Had a really ouchy pain that I couldn't walk through right in my pelvic floor yesturday, and back spasams and on and off period type pain and sweating all night but still nothing.
I know. I am cleaning my house today now that shows how bored of waiting I am! It's not nesting urges either I am forcing myself lol!
Come on babies get out!
