Bleeding and cramping

My sister is 17 weeks 4 days pregnant and has started bleeding (lightly) and cramping. Has anyone else experienced this? Was it ok? Not sure if it matters but she is rh negative blood group. She is waiting to see her ob now but some personal experiences would be helpful. She has had bad morning sickness which has continues.

I had some bleeding but no cramping about 15weeks with my first baby. Luckily for me all was ok, an unexplained bleed. Best wishes to your sister, I hope everything is ok.

I had bleeding with my DS on and off for a few weeks. I am rh neg and actually developed antibodies. If she has her anti D injections she should be fine. I hope everything is ok.

I bled all the way through off and on with both my pregs and I have a healthy 4 & 2 year olds

Thank you ladies. Her baby girl seems happy in mummy's tummy and even gave her a thumbs up lol. She has severe thrush and her ob thinks that may be the reason for the bleeding as he could find no other reason. She is only spotting now and hopefully once the thrush is cleared the cramping will stop. Fingers crossed she also has a bleeding in pregnancy and healthy baby story. Thanks again

I had bleeding (with some clots) at around 18 weeks with my baby girl also... They couldn't find a reason for it but she was perfectly fine and is now a beautiful 10 month old :-)

It's such a scary thing

It's such a relief. It was certainly an emotional day as it was at 17 weeks our mum started bleeding and lost a baby so it is what first comes to mind. I know my mum struggled yesterday and I think she will have my sister wrapped in cotton wool now
