Hi Bellany, Am I right in thinking you have had twins? Congrats hun.

AFM - DD - Isla was born 19.03.13

Feeling quite overwhelmed at times but love her to bits. After several nights of good sleep, bubs has decided tono longer sleep at night, I'm finding that hard when I'm tired and can't settle her to go to sleep. Feeding every 1.5 - 2 hours is exhausting.

She is such an amazing blessing!

Jane: Yep I need to update my signature! Love the nane Isla

Deedles: a little girl! How many boys do you have?

Ethan and Chase arrived 14/3 and we were home that afternoon.
They aren't bad sleepers but they would both love to feed all night and I just can't manage to sleep with both attached so I spend the night switching babies and boobs in a never ending cycle!
    3 cheers for co sleeping!

    Babies Born ~ March 2013 #1

Hi ladies - my DS Dylan was born on 9/3, though I was due Feb 28/Mar 1 so was in the Feb BB group.
So far it's been a challenge to say the least, with episiotomy and third degree tears in my successful VBAC, mastitis, thrush, and now I suspect DS has silent reflux so he's a poor sleeper and colicy. But he's just started smiling and wow it really warms the heart

    Hi ladies,
    Congrats to you all
My DD Grace was born on the 23/3, so just over a week old now.
I am completely smitten with her....after some feeding issues we are now in a good rhythm I'm hoping it will stay that way for now!

    Hi ladies,

My dd2 was born 4/3, she's 4 weeks today. We have had a rough start, c-section, infection from the c-section. The flu has done its rounds in the family and I was quite ill with it. Dd2 and I are still battling with numerous feeding issues and thrush. Even at 4 weeks she refuses to latch properly and feed times are frustrating for the both of us. She is very refluxy and colicky and neither of us are really getting any sleep. I have no help from tomorrow so am a little worried about handling all 4 kids on my own seeing as all my attention is on bubs right now.

Mrs p huge congratulations on the vbac! How sweet that dylan is smiling I can't wait for my boys to do that! Today is/was my due date so I was actually in the april group.

Hey planet sasha. I hope grace stays in a good rhythm for you! We had grace on our girls names list

Welcome to you too courts&munchkins sorry to hear of your rough start do you have any support for the feeding issues? Im not looking forward to next week when hubby goes back to work and im left with 5 alone!

As for me im plodding along. Today I did some serious housework and split the two older boys into their own rooms. I bought a set of bunks that can be seperated and got rid of the old bunks so now they can stop whining about who made the mess in the room. Makes it easier for the younger one to play while the older ones are at school and not mess up their things. I wonder if the 3 year old will try sleeping in his bed tonight... so far we have 2 cots side card to our bed, one either side. Babies in one and 3 year old in the other. But I would really like him to transition to his own room.
The baby boys are feeding well but lots of chucking up so I cut dairy out to see if that helps as it did last time with the 3 yr old.

    Hope everyone is well!

    Hi everyone,

I didn't realise we had a baby buddies thread already. Yay!

My DS was born on the 22nd march. So in love but am so tired today and i have a bad headache.

DS is feeding well but is a little bit spewy after some feeds (not all). He doesn't seem distressed by it though.

We are co sleeping as well. It works well for us as he won't settle in his craddle.

So we are nearly at day 14, 2 weeks old/young!

It seems like some of us have had a rough start.
After ending up with a 3rd degree tear with a 1.5 hr labour from woah to go, I had to go into theatre to be sewn up. So I missed out on that first hour of bonding and feeding and then my milk didn't come in till day 6, which is quite late!

We have had trouble BF and I went and saw a lactation consultant which was the best decision I could have made! She lost 300 g in 3 days!
Found out she was tongue tied and she was starving. Then took her the same day to get it snipped.
Instant relief for DD and she latched right on.
So at the moment we are BF and expressing for 2 feeds a day so we can see the exact amount she is getting.
In 4 days she put on 150g so I'm jumping for joy.

I am worried though as my BB's went from rock hard and leaking for 3 days to hardly feeling full? So I'm of to the LC again and drinking RLT and fenugreek. Bit yucky but ill try anything.

How are all you mums and bubs going?

Oh my gosh. I was wondering why no one was posting in the other group lol.

Nyah-Rose was born on the 12th of March at 9.16 am after an ARM induction. My labour was just over an hour long.

Hello and welcome to the new ladies.

I had posted in the pregnancy buddies forum lol. Was wondering how everyone was going, with sleeping and feeding and so on....

We seem to be sleeping from 10-11pm until 2-3am and waking at 7-8am. Day times are our stressful times, as Nyah-Rose wants to be cuddled and held when ever she's awake. So it's hard to get things done. I'm feeling rather exhausted and fatigued tho, looking after my large family, plus a new born and a household. So if I have a nap, I don't get much done at all.

How are you all coping so far?

    Hi All,

Glad to hear updates from everyone.

It's so reassuring to know that others are experiencing the same ups and downs.

Little Isla is 3 weeks old tomorrow. DH went back to work today, so it's our first long period of time solo. So far, so good - well I'm not in tears yet.

The last week has been very rough, Isla is very colicy and sleep at night has just not been happening. It's exhausting. I'mfinding myself getting anxious in the afternoon, worrying about what the evening may bring and whether or not I'll be able to settle her. We are doing a combo of co-sleeping and bassinet beside the bed. Whatever works hey.

Hoping things settle down soon and we all get some sleep. It is hard to see her in pain from wind.

Anyways, got to run, bubs is crying. Will try to check in more regularly.

Hey everyone. Nyah-Rose is 4 weeks old today. Time is going so fast

Nyah-Rose has been really unsettled almost every night the last few nights, not going down properly until nearly midnight. But on the plus side, when that does happen, she sleeps until 6am!! So I get a good block of sleep, just not as much beforehand. I can't nap much during the day, as I have a nearly 3 year, who is currently refusing to nap. I had to bribe him with chocolate today lol. But we had a nap. They're few and far between lol.

She's also smiling a lot too. Has been for about a week and a half now. It's so very gorgeous.

However I am having a little problem, when I go out alone, with the 2 or 3 you gets ones, I get nervous and anxious and feel like just going home. I'll give you an example. Today, I had to go out to pick something up, and was going to go to Coles, in the next suburb over bexause i was already there. But I changed my mind, and was going to go to Coles in my suburb. But when I got there, decided to just go home instead. I don't know if it's because I'm nervous, scared or just worried I won't be able to control mr 2 or do much because Nyah-Rose will want to be carried while I try to push a trolley and control mr 2. It happened to me last Friday, was in a big shopping centre, and had the 3 youngest, it was a stressful nightmare. I'm just not feeling confident yet I guess. School goes back next week, and that worries me a little bit. With drop of/pick up and feeding and so on. I'm sure ill be fine, but the thought still scares me.

How are you all going? Is everyone coping and getting enough sleep? Lol
