Positive stories of bleeding in the early stages please

ok well i havent posted on bb for almost a year but i do still come back and read every now and then..

i wasnt expecting this to be my first post back, i would have much rather posted a pregnancy announcement rather than trying to clutch at hope that my baby is going to be ok.

i am 5 weeks and 3 days, i found out quite early that we were expecting baby number 7, but woke the morning of week 5 with dark brown spotting, was a lot but never came on the pad, it lasted a whole day and a half before getting a tad pink and then diserpearing for a whole afternoon, it was barely there yesterday, lil bit pink with brown, but by 5 gone altogether, i was so relieved. So just expected that it was an implant bleed and everything would be fine from now on.
    till
2.45am today when i woke to a red bleed. its continued all morning, almost like the start of a period, its medium in strength.

i know im clutching at straws ive been here twice before, i know how this is going to end, but i just want to hold on to my baby for a bit longer.

so please, if u have positive stories of having a red bleed around 5 weeks and it turnedout ok, i would love to hear them

My best friend had spotting in the early stages & she's now 36/37 weeks. She was terrified as well.

Ex's gf also had quite a lot of bleeding early on. She had scans & stuff because of it. As far as I know they're over 20 weeks now. I don't speak to them, but I know they had a few problems.

Congrats, hope it works out ok

Sorry you are going through this, bleeding in pregnancy is very very stressful.
I had bleeding in both pregnancies, twice both times and between 5-8 weeks. I now have a healthy daughter and son. So it doesn't always have to be a bad ending.
    Wishing you luck x

Edit to add each bleed was a red bleed.

its still the same, med af type red watery, it hasnt come on the pad yet, i dont know if thats cause ive either been laying down or sitting.

i did poas again, i still have a line, its a smidge darker than the one i did 2 days ago, and isnt lighter, so im using that to hold onto my hope.

Hugs sweet. I'm going through it at the moment I'm also just over 5 weeks on & off spotting and bleeding bright red spotting for a week and a bit.

I do have a success story tho. My DD. I bled weeks 4,6,9 and 15 with her and she's a happy little 17 month old now! Hang in there sweet. The fact it hasn't hit the pad is a reassuring sign.

Please please don't keep doing hpts you will freak yourself out if the line is a shade lighter (I did a few days ago) but my blood test hcg numbers are going up as they should. If you are worried and need reassurance try ask your gp for quantitative blood hcg testing.

You only really have to worry if your changing pads every hour or so or have lots of clots and pain. Well at least that's what the hospital told me last night.

Sorry you are going through this I had spotting that turned into light bleeding at 6 weeks. It was a subchronic bleed or something like that and was nothing to worry about. The spotting continued for another week or so. I am now almost 30 weeks

Hugs to you hun, it's very stressful. With DS3 I bled almost constantly from about 5 weeks to approx 9-10 weeks. Not necessarily a lot, but it was there on liners and when I wiped. In my case, I had progesterone issues (which I hadn't had with my first two pregnancies). I didn't have any pain, but there were instances where I had gushes of red blood ... it nearly did my head in. I had my hcg and progesterone levels done approx every 4 days for several weeks - it was how we knew without doubt that progesterone was the issue (I ended up with progesterone pessaries).
Good luck hun, I'll be thinking of you xx

I bled exactly as you're describing with my first pregnancy. All was well. Fingers crossed for you.

    thankyou for the positive stories..
i dont really have any pain as such, just the normal af type cramps, i do have a weird heavy feeling in my belly and an on again off again sharp pain on my left side and i do have back pain, i had it around 3-4 weeks as well.

my hubby is trying to be really positive and said he isnt worried just yet. so its some comfort, but as i said to him, im the one who has to see it everytime i pee!
i dont have that feeling that its going to end badly like i did with my last mc

I had a bleed at 4-5 weeks that I thought was my period (much more than just spotting) and at the 7 week dating scan I was told I was actually 11 weeks pregnant and the bleed had to have been an implantation bleed.

Best wishes for this baby xo
