I have excessive sweating under my arms. No matter what deodorant I use, I will perspire under my arms even in cooler weather.
I have tried the ones from the Chemist, didn't really work that well.
Has anyone had it professionally treated?
How much did it cost?
Did it actually work and for how long did it last?
I have been researching and it seems Beauty places offer a treatment.
Any experience please share....I would love to confidently wear colours like purple tops
I know how you feel I have a wardrobe full of black tops. The only deodorant that worked ended up burning the skin under my arms so I had to stop using it.
Just be careful about any permanent/surgical type treatments. I think botox is one or removal of sweat glands another. WHen you remove the ability to sweat from your arm pits it will appear somewhere else, like your forehead or hands. Your body needs to sweat and it will find another out let so you need to weigh the benefits/risks.
I used to have this problem. I'm sure you've tried driclor but that it what got rid of the problem for me. It was itchy as all hell and heaven help you if you put it on soon after shaving because it would bring you to tears, but it worked for me. I kept using it and after awhile the problem went away and I didn't have to use it anymore. I'm not sure how long it was but I I only ever bought one pack so it wasn't long, maybe a couple months.
What age are you? I remember from what I read back then (this was a few years ago) that most people grow out of it, so I was never really sure if the driclor hit it on the head or if I grew out of it or a bit of both, but it went away in my early to mid 20s.
not sure if it applies to normal sweating, but my rheumy told me that night sweats has been linked to vitamin d deficiency, so might be worth looking into?
I am 40 Sagres, so not something I am likely to grow out of
I have also read it can be related to Thyroid. I have had it a while, although more noticeably since having kids and really ramped up in the last few months. It can also just be an unexplained problem.
I am currently seeing a dermatologist for basal cell carcinoma, so will mention it to him next time I see him. Silly me only just saw him last week and didn't think to ask then. I need a new referral so will ask my GP as well.
