Have I posted this before? I can't remember....
Anyways, here's a study done in British Columbia comparing three different groups of births: Midwife attended home-birth, Midwife attended hospital birth, and Physician attended hospital birth. Over all, it was shown that a homebirth had a death rate lower than/similar to hospital for low-risk women and babies, and a much lower intervention/complication rate.
