Non greasy hand cream for very dry hands

    Hi all,

I'm looking for a really good hand cream for dry hands please. I have this fantabulous olive oil body cream that I've been using on my hands but it's been discontinued (it's by Octane I think..). Any suggestions?

I really like The Body Shop hemp cream. I use the "matching" hand wash too - its beautiful and moisturising and using just it and no cream makes a huge difference

My favourite though is hand creams from Crabtree and Evelyn - any flavour, they're all lovely

i found the Body Shop Hemp Butter brilliant too.

Another help was to smear lanolin on my raw knuckles, just before bed and wear cotton gloves overnight. (and to wear rubber gloves while cleaning, washing up). And to swap to mild soap for handwashing.

You can get c&e at myer, I know in sydney there is a store in bindi junction, not sure about anywhere else. They truly are lovely products.

I used to love the body shop but then loreal bought them and since nestle owns part of loreal they're on my blacklist now

I used to scrub in op suite and my favourite there was the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula you can get at Woolies. It's non greasy.
I currently have a whole range of C&E and I find they take ages to soak in.

I have severely dry hands and have tried a few creams. Theres a cream called 'tough hands' you can buy it at most chemists , even safeway for around $10. And also you can't go wrong with Aveeno. I have very dry sensitive skin and I never have a problem with Aveeno products.

I used to be a body shop rep a few years ago and LOVE the hemp! The hemp body butter works great for stretch marks when pregnant too I didn't develop a lot of new ones when I was pregnant with the twins could not speak higher of it

Vaseline make a great hand and nail cream it's so moisturising, rather than leaving an oily residue and it smells absolutely divine too.

The other creams I have tried are aloe Vera creams (by various suppliers) and of course body shop products like the other ladies have mentioned, although I do find the hemp cream smelly, and not in a great way lol, but that's just me lol

I did have dry hands after the birth of myDD from the hand sanitiser we had to use every time we touched her. So try to avoid anything like that. Make sure you moisturise after washing up... Etc.

Really? But I love it so much. It's one of the best for my skin. Plus it's reasonably priced and easy to find

Thing 1: find a liquid soap with moisturiser in it. This makes more of a difference on my hands than any other thing.

Thing 2: if you need to use hand sanitizer, get Aqium gel. It seems to have some kind of moisturiser in there & is nowhere near as drying as others.

Thing 3: have a try at using some coconut oil or similar overnight. If you can find some white cotton gloves, slather it on, put the gloves on & go to bed. I did this with my feet & it made a huge difference. Other oils to try include any mix of jojoba, almond or olive (if you can handle the smell).
