    Which home hair dye?

I really dont like getting my hair done at a salon and need to fix up the outgrown multi coloured mess I'm toting at the moment.

There is way too many options and a big price range that make it too hard to choose! I stay away from schwarzcopf (sp? sorry) after a bad reaction to their other hair products.

If you dye your hair at home, which do you use/would you recommend?

    TIA

What I use for me depends on what I've got to cover up. Sometimes I have to pull out the big guns and get professional stuff (I have friends that are hair dressers so buy it for me).

What is your natural colour, what multicoloured mess are you toting. Also what chemicals should you stay away from when pregnant?

Is there a Hair Attack or similar nearby? I use Fudge colours on my hair (I've got pink and purple hair) but the staff at my local HA are really good as they have a hair dressing salon in the premises.

If I need 'normal' colour hair I use Napro Pallette colours.

Gah! Wish I had a hair dresser friend. Natural colour is lighter brown but I was blonde for and then back to darker reddish brown. So now the first inch or so is my natural brown, then some washed out reddy brown, then some washed out lighter hair that shines orangey in the sun! I just want it to all be one brown

I had a look at one of Kellys articles on hair dye during pregnancy. It sounds OK if done rarely and in a well ventilated area. So if I get mum to do it outside it should be alright.

I think there is one at westfields here yep. The napro are shwarzkopf but it was their shampoo/conditioner that I reacted to so perhaps I should look over the ingredients and try to figure which one was the problem. It might not be in their colours..
