I would have thought not. I regularly get cysts on my ovaries. When they burst I know about it.
It's completely normal to have cysts on your ovaries from time to time.
I had a CT scan a few weeks ago that revealed I have cysts on my ovaries the dr said id need a follow up ultrasound to see if they had taken care of themselves in around 12 weeks
Today im only mid cycle but started bleeding quite heavily (for me anyway) and lots of clots. Could this be related to the cysts? What could it be? Should I be worried?

Agree with MotherClucker, I currently have an 8cm cyst on my ovary that's being monitored, I highly doubt that cysts would be the cause of the bleeding. And you would absolutely know about it if it burst, it can be excruciatingly painful.
I know that pain that how I found out I had the cysts I was sent for a CT scan for possible appendicitis but it was a burst cyst
That's how I found out that I also had cysts - an emergency trip to the hospital in agony.
I have no idea if it's at all related to cysts - I'm apparently ignorant to most things that go on down there!- but I too will get lots of clot loss with a period. Some of them quite large and, during my last period I was tempted to go to the hospital as I thought I was losing too much and feeling quite sick and weak.
After numerous visits to doctors over the years the general consensus seems to be that it's "normal for me". I've given up trying to find out why.
Normally id just shrug it off as an odd period but its mid cycle (cd11)
....oops! Clearly I don't pay attention to much at all!![]()
