    Bath products/moogoo?

I've been stocking up on the basics, bath wash, soap, nappy cream.. Everything! Hoping to get some of that expense covered for a while.

I've been buying that Gaia (?) natural baby bath from woolworths (lavender smell).

I'm thinking of getting some moo goo also?
Does it smell pretty??? And what should I get? The website has ALOT of products.

    TIA

You don't really need anything much.
Plain water is enough for cleaning.

I'm pretty sure moo goo makes a good cradle cap cream. Might be worth being prepared for.

I like the moogoo scalp cream for cradle cap - smells nice. I do agree that you don't need more than water for bath time; ds1 has eczema (I blame Johnson's bathtime lavender stuff for triggering that) and we haven't used anything but water for either of the boys for about 3 years now. Occasionally (like once every 6mths at most) we might use some moogoo milk bath stuff. Ds2 hasn't had anything soap/cleansing agent wise in his baths at all and he's 14mths now.

I knew water was enough but I did like using a teeny tiny bit of Gaia in the bath water for mine. As they got older they were more prone to really dry eczema skin so I used QV oil or Dermaveen bath wash. I also love Moo Goo - I use the shampoo for myself and now use a tiny squirt in the kids bath, it does have a smell but it's not super strong.

Same as Leckert. We don't generally use any products at all, but I do occasionally put a square of goats milk soap in the bottom of the bath.

Out of interest, what do you use for shampoo? I use Gaia, but always keen for other ideas.

Olive oil for baby massage (and once or twice for cradle cap) was the only other thing we put on DS as a baby.

Forgot to say that we wouldn't put much in the water but would use the shampoo and then sort of swish it from hair around their body and into the water ITMS!!! That was when they were tinse.

MooGoo is lovely stuff, but as others have said you won't need to use much product in baby's early days! It's mostly a marketing gimmick. Even now we only need to wash DD (3)'s hair about once a week with a pea sized amount of shampoo.

MooGoo's soaps are divine, and their milk wash will be good for the times bub gets dirty or has a poosplosion. It also froths up a little which can be fun later on to play with.
